Our wildflower meadow has been surveyed!
When we popped home for lunch today we were excited to see something in our meadow! It was Mary Breeds who’d recently offered to survey our wildflower meadow species. Our meadow is now in its 15th year and it was a beautiful sunny day to wade through the plants. We are very grateful for Mary’s expertise and the information will be invaluable as we experiment with our meadow cutting regime. We plan to leave some areas uncut for longer each year and it will be interesting to find out if this affects the diversity of plants.
